Morley and south Leeds groups urged to apply for cash funding
Community groups across the Morley area are being given the chance to get their hands on some free cash.
The ARISE initiative, which was set up by the owners of the White Rose Centre, Land Securities Ltd, alongside fellow property companies the Evans Group and Munroe K, supports grass-roots groups and organisations in south Leeds and is currently giving out funding up to £1,000.
Applicants can seek full or part-funding for activities and initiatives that are to the benefit of people living in south Leeds.
ARISE, (the Alliance to Reward Initiatives and Social Enterprise) was launched in 2005 and has made more than 200 awards with monies totalling more than £180,000 helping to support a range of community-based activities in Morley and south Leeds.
Land Securities’ portfolio director Gerald Jennings, who chairs the ARISE Board, said: “The initiative works so well because every funding decision rests with a totally independent awards selection committee, who scrutinise each application and base their decision purely on merit.”
A simple-to-complete request for funding form is available by emailing tim@polomediapartnership.com
They must be received by Friday, February 22.
