Over a thousand people were bowled over by this year’s sunny Wicketfest at Morley Cricket Club.
The annual event is Morley’s biggest outdoor live music festival and this year was the best yet said organiser Rob Mitchell.
He said: “It was absolutely fantastic! I’m really really pleased with how it went. The bands were amazing. The weather held and I’ve actually got a tan.”
Dan Hudson who was this year’s headliner, fresh from his gig at the O2 in London, wowed the crowd alongside bands Kill the Silence, King Nothing, The Erics, Dirty Vinyl, Gemma Hopton and Angelo Palladino.
Organisers are hoping to host the fourth free music festival next year with a new format. Mr Mitchell said: “We’ve got it how we want it. But hopefully next year will be different.”
