THE full line-up of star names has been announced for this year’s Morley Literature Festival and they include a Mancunian music legend and a popular radio presenter making a second appearance at the event.

The headline names for the festival include former Joy Divison and New Order member Peter Hook and BBC 6 Music presenter Stuart Maconie as well as best-selling crime novelist Val McDermid.

Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee, Newsnight presenter Gavin Esler, ITV royal correspondent Tim Ewart and former Inspiral Carpets frontman Tom Hingley will also be making appearances during the festival, which is taking place at venues thoughout the town from October 6-14.
