Morley police appeal to car park witnesses
MORLEY police are hoping witnesses who helped them to catch two suspected car thieves will come forward.
PCSO Chris Long was on patrol in Morley town centre on January 7 at around 12.30pm, when he was approached by a man who told him he had seen two men trying car handles in the top part of the Queensway car park, opposite Morley Leisure Centre.
The men were seen hiding in between the bottle banks and trying car handles.
PCSO Long was then approached by another member of the public who reported the same thing.
The officer called for assistance and two local men were arrested for attempted theft from motor vehicles.
Officers are now collecting evidence to present to the courts and PCSO Long would like to speak to the two witnesses who approached him to come forward.
The first witness was a man in his 40s and the second a woman.
The witnesses, or anyone who may know who they are should contact PCSO Long at Morley Police Station on 0113 2382035.
