THIEVES got away with around £6,500 worth of frames from Specsavers in Morley town centre after smashing through the front door.

The thieves hit overnight on November 28.

A local man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail.

Police are now urging anyone who has been offered cheap frames for sale to let them know.

Insp Paul Sullivan from Morley Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Anyone who has had a knock on the door and offered cheap glasses or frames recently then they have probably been stolen from the theft at Specsavers.

“I urge anyone who has any information to contact us.”
