Award winning dancers will be taking to the stage at Morley Town Hall this weekend for a special charity showcase.

Phoenix Dance Group were celebrating earlier this month after a triumphant competition at Rainton Meadows Arena.

The group won 14 trophies on the day, including two judges choice awards for four-year-old Olivia Limbert and Kirsty Jackman.

Olivia was chosen for her different moves and overall dancing, while Kirsty stood out for her precision of moves, smile and costume.

Other award winners were Madison Keegan, Ella Jackman, Freya Rennison and Alicia Prior, Sophie Smith and Abby Marshall.

Showing their teamwork dancing talents were winners Munchkins, Starlight, Cherish, Delicious, Trinity and Illusion.

Leader Sally Humphries said: “We are very proud of all our dancers.”

If you would like to see what Phoenix Dance Group has to offer, you can watch them in action at the town hall this Saturday. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

There will over 40 dance routines being performed, ranging from disco to rock and roll and a hits from musicals section.

Tickets are £5 (£3 concession), which can be bought on the door on the night.

Monies raised will be donated to the Miscarriage Association, Candlelighters and Dagan Roberts.
