A visit from Santa, two reindeers and a host of stalls and entertainment made for a vibrant Christmas fair at the weekend.
Morley’s annual event, which was held in the town hall this year, attracted 37 stall holders, all selling an array of products and goodies including Christmas crafts, homemade food and mulled wine, Christmas cakes, photography, gifts, jewellery and much more.
Town centre manager Rachael Kennedy said: “There was a terrific atmosphere and a fantastic community spirit all day.” This was helped along by traditional carols from the Salvation Army and local singer, Jamie-Leigh Fish.
Mrs Kennedy said: “It was great to see so many people visit the fair, supporting the Christmas cafe and buying their Christmas presents all under one roof!”
Morley Chamber of Trade and Commerce spoke to many of the stall holders who said that they had a profitable day and they would do it again.
Mrs Kennedy had to turn away 68 stall holders for the event as there was not enough space for all of them.
