Morley’s own mini-Wimbledon was a big attraction at Dartmouth Park with many children enjoying their first experience of tennis in the autumn sunshine.
The Friends of Dartmouth Park were happy to help the Lawn Tennis Association for a day of tennis with prizes for those who took part.
Beatrice Myers, from the Friends of Dartmouth Park said: “We are really grateful to Leeds City Council for all the support they gave us and there was no shortage of tasty refreshments to revive people after all that tennis!”
There was also a variety of stalls to browse around, including the Birstall Woodturners and the Lifeboat Institute, and for those who had a little bit of energy left, a bouncy castle took pride of place.
Mrs Myers said: “Thank you to all those who came to enjoy the event. A good day was had my all.”
