Police hunt Gildersome flasher

A MAN indecently exposed himself to a woman as she walked along Town Street in Gildersome.

The woman was aware of somebody walking behind her at around 12.35pm on September 12 before the man shouted to her to get her attention.

As she turned around, he dropped his trousers and exposed himself.

She shouted for help and he ran off down a ginnel towards Church Avenue.

He is described as white, around 40 years old, about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium to fat build. He had a clean appearance, had light brown hair and wore light blue jeans and a grey long sleeved jumper with a hood.

There was a bus with passengers nearby at the time and police are asking if anyone saw the man at all in the area to call them via 101.

Insp Paul Sullivan said: “This type of offence is something that rarely happens in Morley, but we need to catch this man as soon as possible. He might still be in the area, so if anyone sees anyone acting suspicious or who matches this description, please call the police.”
