Police search for missing Cottingley mum of three

Police are urgently appealing for information to trace a mum-of-three who has gone missing from her Cottingley home.

Lesley Ginnelly, 43, was last seen at around 9.15am yesterday morning getting onto the number 51 bus at Victoria Road heading towards Morley town centre.

Police were notified of her disappearance at 3.30pm and despite a number of searches, officers have been unable to locate Lesley.

Her disappearance is considered to be extremely out of character and police are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Police are continuing to search a number of areas this morning and believe Lesley could be in the south Wakefield area around Pugneys Country Park and Newmillerdam.

Lesley is white, around 5ft 2ins tall, of medium build with brown hair which is worn in a straight style. At the time she was last seen she was wearing dark coloured clothing.

Anyone seeing her or anyone with information is asked to contact the helpdesk at Holbeck Police Station via the non-emergency number 101.
