A cannabis farm that could potentially have made up to £35,000 for its nurterers has been unearthed by police.
Two officers from the Dewsbury area stumbled upon the drugs cove at an address on Britannia Road, Morley whilst making unrelated enquiries over the weekend.
A man has been arrested after 70 plants at varying stages of growth were discovered at the house by PCs Simon Kelly and Ash Barrett just before midday on Saturday August 16. Another man voluntarily attended Morley Police Station to assist police with their enquiries.
Police believe those reponsible could have made thousands from selling the illegal substance on the streets of Morley.
Insp Paul Sullivan said: “We are determined to stamp out the growth and trade in illegal drugs in our communities and will act swiftly and robustly to discover and dismantle production.”
