Budding entrepreneurs branched out when they sold their innovative Christmas trees at the White Rose Shopping Centre.

Pupils from across Leeds who have become disengaged from mainstream education designed the USB Christmas trees as part of their alternative learning course.

THe light-up trees can be plugged into the USB sockets on computers, laptops and other electronic equipment.

The 14-16 year-olds were given space at the Morley shopping centre for free.
