Pupils at Queenswood School put on a spectacular performance of Disney’s The Lion King.
There were two performances including the final evening on Tuesday which was watched by a packed audience at the Central Methodist Church Hall.
Many members of the local community came to watch the children play beloved roles such as Simba, Timon and Pumbaa.
Headteacher Julie Tanner said: “The children have worked on this for several months and enjoyed every minute of it, We are all very proud of them it was a job well done.
“We are already looking forward to next year’s production of The Wizard of Oz.”
The school, off Queen Street, is already recognised by Ofsted as outstanding in performing arts and recently celebrated 100 per cent of pupils achieving a pass in the English Speaking Board exams.
