A Morley fundraiser is hoping a song or two will help her on her way to raising £1,500 to build a pre-school in Laos.
Sarah Keig of New Bank Street has organised a sponsored karaoke at the Morley Dashers pub this Sunday evening with people being asked to make a small donation to sing. There will also be a raffle on the night with prizes including a £20 voucher from Mermaid Fish Restaurant, a free cut and blow dry at Salon 27 and much more and £100 of Thomas Cook vouchers. Sarah said: “Three years ago pre-schools didn’t exist in Laos and many children, particularly girls, continue to be extremely disadvantaged when it comes to education. “The money I hope to raise will help support a project to help girls succeed at school .”
