With the school holidays well under way, families have been enjoying one of the hottest summers of recent years in the great outdoors.
And as thousands flock to the open spaces of Scatcherd and Dartmouth Park, the gorgeous weather has conveniently coincided with National ‘Love Parks Week’, which is aimed at encouraging people to go out an experience the pleasures of their local park - as if you needed any more.
The opportunity of a long-awaited kick-around, sunbathe or spin on the roundabout has been one too good to miss for Morley folk of late.
Beatrice Myers, from the Friends of Dartmouth Park group, said: “It’s great to see everyone enjoying the wonderful weather and getting out and about in the parks in Morley.
“We hope that our parks, which have tremendous national heritage, continue to be maintained in the way that they deserve.”
