Slimming World groups have been losing pounds and raising pounds for the South Leeds food bank.
Groups from Churwell, Gildersome, Morley, Beeston, Middleton and Hunslet have raised more than £500 so far and have also donated food to the charity.
Between them members have lost more than 6,000lbs, (more than 428 stone), in just six weeks with their Slim for Good campaign, which saw them taking part in a sponsored slim.
Charitable members will be raising money for Cancer Research UK on Saturday May 17, which they are calling The Slimming World Clothes Throw and are inviting every one to have a wardrobe sort- out and donate any clothes to Cancer Research UK.
Churwell Slimming Consultant Michelle Carter said: “ I am aware that we have many fantastic charity shops in Morley but do not have a Cancer Research shop, so I have arranged a pop-up shop in Windsor Court from 9am-3pm for everyone to come and bring a bag of clothes, bags or shoes.”
