Spooktacular fundraising at the White Rose Centre

THE White Rose Shopping Centre is looking for fancy dress volunteers to get in the Halloween spirit and help it raise a spooktacular amount of money for the local branch of the MS Society this weekend.

The trick or treat collection will take place during opening hours on Saturday and Sunday and the centre is hoping that volunteers will take advantage of a dress rehearsal for the spookiest night of the year so they can make the most of their collecting time.

White Rose marketing manager Nikki Appleton said: “The MS Society is Land Securities’ adopted charity and we are hoping that we can find as many volunteer collectors as possible so we can scare up a monster amount of money for the Leeds and Wakefield branch.

“The MS Society does a fantastic job in not only supporting and assisting people who are affected, but also in funding research into the condition. The charity always needs help in raising money so that it can continue with its essential work.

“We know that our customers and staff are all a generous lot and we are hoping that people will be able to get into the spirit of the event and give some time as well as money to help us raise as much as possible.”

Weekend opening hours at the White Rose Shopping Centre are 9am-7pm on Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.

Anyone who can spare some time to help to collect can contact Kirsten Morley from the Leeds and District branch on 0800 1114324 Spoo
