Street market to launch Morley Literature Festival
A STREET market will mark the launch of the Morley Literature Festival on Saturday, October 6.
The event has been organised by town events manager Rachael Kennedy in conjunction with the Morley Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
She said: “There will be children’s rides and street entertainment courtesy of organist Phil Flook and we are encouraging as many visitors and traders to dress up as children’s book characters to kick start the literature festival!”
Queen Street will be filled with a mixture of regular and new traders including Butterfly Bakery, Keeley Kubas Silver jewellery, Booktree, All About Pies, Yorkshire Dales Real Food and the Be Happy Bakery.
Morley Murals will also have a stall and the Friends of the Morley Lit Fest will be holding a book swap.
