Police are advising motorists to be on their guard after a number of reported thefts in the area.

They advise people not to leave expensive belongings like mobile phones or laptop on show in a car. 
Remove all valuables from your vehicle when leaving it unoccupied - even if for a short while - always remove in-car electronic equipment, particularly sat-navs. Remember to rub off any ‘sucker’ marks left on the window.

Officers from Leeds Outer South, said that registration plates are attractive to a thief. Fit tamper-proof plates and/or screws. Call your local PCSO on 101 to for more information.
