Tingley parents warned over parking

PARENTS dropping their children off at school in Tingley are being warned they could face being fined if found to be parking inconsiderably.

Operation Deedcrest, set up to tackle parking issues around all schools in the Morley Neighbourhood Policing team area, was in full swing last week when PCSO Jordan Howson was on patrol near Westerton Primary School.

He noticed a vehicle parked in an obstructive position, which could be a danger to children or residents crossing the road, and handed over a £30 fixed penalty notice to the offending vehicle.
