Tingley’s Curry Cuisine cookery school in line for award
Prett Tejura's Curry Cuisine Cookery School has been nominated for a top national award.
TINGLEY cookery school Curry Cuisine has been shortlisted in the inaugural British Cookery School Awards, as a finalist in the Best Specialist Cookery School category.
The British Cookery School Awards were launched in June to celebrate the dedication schools have in driving the passion for homemade food.
Founded in Tingley by passionate home cook Prett Tejura in 2007 with the aim of teaching people how to cook authentic Indian food, the Curry Cuisine Cookery School has gone from strength to strength.
The School teaches people how to create a variety of dishes from distinct regional areas of India such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Goa, Kashmir, Kerelan and Sri Lanka.
Curry Cuisine, which started with personalised cookery lessons and taster evenings, has grown to offer courses ranging from demonstrations to Indian Cookery Masterclasses. Prett was also invited to run Indian Masterclasses at the luxury castle hotel, Swinton Park.
Curry Cuisine is up against six other schools from across the country. Entrants to the Best Specialist Cookery School category had to demonstrate why their school is the best at its particular area of expertise and how they differentiate themselves from competitors.
The winners will be announced at an awards event in central London on November 13.
