Two Tingley women – and their mutts – have sent the nation barking mad after an appearance on Britain’s Got Talent.
Friends Jane Sanders, from Rein Gardens, and Janet Green, from Baghill Road, were seen by millions watching the hit show last weekend as their pooches strutted their stuff on stage.
Coco and Barney were part of the UK Doggy Disco, which featured their own dogs dancing to club hits.
Jane, whose dog Coco took part in the act, said: “I first took part in this for a friend’s party in North Leeds, as she wanted to organise a dog disco.
“Somehow Britain’s Got Talent heard about it and offered us an audition.”
The audition and filming took place in February.
“I wasn’t really nervous beforehand, just excited,” said Jane.
“Ant and Dec met us beforehand, they were asking us about our act and they were really nice and friendly.
“They said they really liked the dogs!”
Coco and Barney then had the chance to show their moves in front of Cowell and co to the paw-tapping Who Let The Dogs Out? by Baha Men.
“The dogs didn’t take too well to it,” said Jane. “We left all the treats upstairs in the green room!”
Simon Cowell was the first to buzz with a “no”, but Coco and Barney were not without their fans.
Jane said: “Amanda Holden said she enjoyed it, and David Walliams said: ‘That was the best doggy disco I’ve ever seen’, which was quite nice of him!”
After the show was aired last weekend, Jane and her act was even featured on ITV’s Daybreak.
The dog days are over, however, as Jane said her and Janet have no plans to get their pooches back on the box.
