Tributes to former Bruntcliffe School student killed in M62 crash
Former Bruntcliffe student Rebecca Caine, who was killed in a car crash on the M62 near Manchester on Sunday morning.
THE heartbroken family of a former Bruntcliffe School student killed in a crash on the M62 at the weekend have paid tribute to her.
Twenty-year-old Rebecca Caine, known as Becky, from Birstall, died when the Chevrolet Matiz she was travelling in was involved in a head-on collision with a Renault Megane on the M62 eastbound near to junction 21 in the early hours of Sunday.
She leaves behind a twin brother, Jack, a younger sister, Emma, her mother Susan and her partner Russell, and father Tim and his wife Joanne.
In a statement the family said: “As you can imagine our lives are shattered and our hearts are broken into pieces.
“She was a beautiful girl with her whole life ahead of her. She was embarking on a modelling career and would be finishing her final year of her business degree at Leeds University.
“She was our little girl, now she is our little angel.
Wilfred Museka, aged 31, of Powell Street, Clayton, near Manchester, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, fraud by false representation, driving without insurance and driving other than in accordance with a driving licence.
He is due to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on October 8.
