A well known figure on the local billiards and snooker circuit has died aged 84.
Arthur White, of St Andrew’s Avenue, Morley, died on April 7.
Mr White, a retired postal engineer, played billiards from an early age, first in the Morley Sunday Schools League and later in the Leeds and District League.
He also played for Leeds Post Office and the Post Office’s North East regional team.
Over the years he won many team and individual competitions and served on various billiards and snooker committees, and as a referee.
His funeral will be held at Cottingley Hall Crematorium, Leeds, at 1.40pm on Monday April 28.
