A Morley restaurant picked up a few cooking tips from primary school pupils during their Masterchef competition.

Saffron Desi, on Dawson Hill, was asked to judge Westerton Primary School’s cooking competition and couldn’t have been happier to help.

Manager Bilal Khan said: “We took up this fabulous opportunity and it was great.

“The children really showed off some great preparation work and cooking skills.

“The food that was cooked was all great and brilliantly presented.

“It was really hard to pick a winner - so much so there was only one point between them!

“I even pinched a couple of their ideas and will definitely be trying them at home, although I don’t think I’ll do as well as the children did, but will keep trying!

A very big well done to all the contestants from Saffron Desi.”
