The White Rose Shopping Centre’s new food court, which will now be known as the balcony, will be officially unveiled this weekend.
A fairground themed party, complete with hook-a-duck, target the jar game and a candy-floss tricycle, will greet shoppers to celebrate the new look dining venue.
More than 800 food and drink prizes will be up for grabs across the weekend, including the chance to dine out at White Rose for a year with a £200 gift card.
Teams from White Rose’s restaurants and eateries will be out on the malls encouraging shoppers to sample the wide range of food and drink available across the Centre, while the White Rose Grubs Up team will also be handing out money-off vouchers.
The £7 million redevelopment has welcomed five brand new food and beverage operators to the centre including Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo, Wok& Go, Primo’s Gourmet Hotdogs and handmade burger Co. These join a line-up of 17 existing eateries such as Nando’s, McDonalds, Costa Coffee and a brand new concept Bagel Nash.
The expansion has brought a much fresher, contemporary new-look to the dining venue which is now a third larger in size. All existing food and beverage operators on the upper mall have also invested in extensive re-fits in-keeping with the new improved look. Customer facilities, including toilets, a baby change area and a quiet room have also been re-vamped as part of the redevelopment.

“The £7million redevelopment has enabled us to increase the size of our dining venue, substantially improve facilities and introduce a host of new eateries. We’re now in the position to blend both a restaurant and grab and go food offer to ensure our customers have a greater choice. Shoppers now have a wide variety of options for when they want to grab a snack on the go or sit down and enjoy a meal with family and friends.”
