MORLEY fans who cheered on X Factor hopefuls Voxe when they appeared on television recently will soon have the chance to see them live.

The girl band, whose members met as cheerleaders for the Bradford Bulls, got through to round two boot camp of the hit music show.

Despite losing out to another girl band they are riding the wave of the good publicity and have agreed to appear at a charity fundraiser at Cucina Cafe and Bar in Queen Street on Sunday, October 21.

The concert has been organised by Faye Horsman in aid of the Yorkshire Cancer Centre at St James’s hospital.

Faye, who raised nearly £4,000 for the charity when she and a friend trekked the Great Wall of China in 2010, is friends with one of the girls in the band and thought a charity concert would be a good way to raise a couple hundred pounds for charity while giving Voxe a bit of publicity.

Faye said: “The band are very good.

“Readers should come for a lively night of entertainment and, above all, to support our local community’s Yorkshire Cancer Centre.”

Tickets for the fundraiser cost £5 and can be bought from Cucina either in person or by ringing 0113 253 2113.
