An up and coming star of the stage is leaving Morley to tread the boards of the West End playing the lead in a hit show.
Troy Tipple, nine, is taking on the role of Charlie Bucket in the Theatre Royal’s almost sell-out production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Troy, who dances at the Deborah Coultish School of Dance and goes to Morley Victoria Primary, has already performed with the English Youth Ballet (EYB).
Now he is helping to bring to life Roald Dahl’s classic musical, directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes and starring with Nigel Planer, Billy Boyle and Douglas Hodge to tell the story of young Charlie Bucket whose lucky golden ticket sends him on an adventure with Willy Wonka.
The show is at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, and is all bnut sold out with only limited availability in January.
