A Morley bowls club’s new president has taken the reins for the first time.

Michael Gunther was given the chains to become the president of Morley Probus Bowls Club.

Mr Gunther succeeded Mike Nolan as president of the club at its annual meeting.

Mike Nolan became president last year when he took over from Colin Broadbent.

Members at the club competed last summer for its 2014 trophy and the awards were won by Keith Mountain and Geoffrey Snowden.

The winners were presented with the award by former club president Mike Nolan.

The club meets at 10am on the first Wednesday of every month.
