People from Morley and the surrounding area will be given the chance to learn about the history of the town at its heritage weekend this month.
Clive McManus, from Morley Community Archives said: “It will be the perfect chance for anyone to ask anything they ever wanted to know about Morley’s history – including the significance of some
of its key buildings.”
On Saturday, September 14 there will be two tours of Morley Town Hall, including a meeting with the Mayor and an exhibition of Morley memorabilia for people to browse.
On the Sunday, September 15, there will be a Heritage Trail walk which begins at 10.30am which will be split into two parts.
Mr McManus added: “Places are open to absolutely anyone but we do stress that the Sunday walk is not for the faint hearted.
“Morley is extremely hilly so people are advised to wear appropriate footwear and it would probably not be suited to toddlers.”
