There were a few goals scored at the Mini-Movers toddler group on Friday to raise money for Sport Relief.
The group, who meet at St Andrew’s Church hall as part of the Mini Me Time group, took part in goal scoring, balancing with bean bags and a parachute challenge, raising money for the biennial charity event, which brings together the worlds of sport and entertainment to help vulnerable people.
Mini Me Time totted up their fundraising effort and will be sending £70 to the charity, raised from the class fees of those attended, plus £1 for each goal scored by the children attending Fridays session.
The sessions run through term time with classes, which have to be booked in advance, running on Fridays at 11.45am at St Andrew’s Church Hall.
They are high energy movement classes together with fun music, weekly props such as ribbon sticks, pom poms, parachutes, bean bags and scarves, which all help develop children’s motor skills, social development as well as help children together with their parents/carers discover how much fun being energetic and active together can be.
Charlotte Daly, who runs the classes said: “Mini Me Time try and support as much charitable work as possible. We regularly donate proceeds from classes and events to both local and national charities.
“Our next event is the Easter party, where again, a donation will be given to Morley South Children’s Centre in order to support them as much as possible over the coming year.”
The Easter party will be held on Friday April 11 at St Andrew’s Church Hall. For further details about the group, visit www.minimetime.co.uk.
