The Mayor of Morley has
one again been putting smiles on the faces of local talent.
Coun Wyn Kidger has been out meeting sports teams and a young actor to present them with cheques, which she hopes will help them continue their dedicted work.
Coun Kidger’s year as Mayor of the town has seen her hand out hundreds of pounds to a number of groups as part of her charity fundraising with Glen Juniors U14s team, LS27 football team and Morley Cricket Club’s U7s team happily receiving a helping hand.
Young actor Troy Tipple from Morley was also presented with a cheque, which Coun Kidger hopes will help him and his family as they travel the country for his performances. Troy’s latest stage roll was as Charlie Bucket in the hit West End production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Coun Kidger said: “I am proud to be able to help all these kids. We are so fortunate to have such talent in Morley.”
