Pupils put the fun into fundraising for this year’s Red Nose Day.

At Woodkirk Academy a bake sale was held to raise cash with a huge £447.93 raised throughout the day.

The sale was organised by the Student Leadership Group who co-ordinated the whole event.

Students who wanted to wear an item of red clothing also contributed £1.

At East Ardsley Primary School staggering £1,331 was raised by pupils and staff.

Children donated 50p to dress down in their ‘funny for money’ costumers. Nursery children enjoyed having their photographs taken in their class photo booth, which was very popular, staff baked cakes while children from Reception to Year Six had lots of fun at their afternoon disco.

Our children are always keen to support this charity as it supports children who are less fortunate than themselves.
