The Sportsman Inn in Morley is gearing up for its annual charity fundraising music festival tomorrow.
The free event will take place on Sunday, August 17 from 1pm-8pm and include sets from Mel’s Born To Be Wild Band, Broken Road, Pancho Bullit, Orchid, Blue Streak and Big Mouth.Last year’s takings for the charity reached £2,199, but landlady Kirsty Elwood wants to top £2,500 this year. “The event has run for five years at the Sportsman and will again include face painting, a kids tombola, adult bottle tombola, raffles and a barbecue. Kirsty said she hoped around 400 punters would turn out for it. “Everybody loves music and it just brings everybody together. We are expecting it to go really well,” she said.
