Investigative teenagers are being invited to apply for next year’s West Yorkshire Police Explorers programme, designed for young people to look at different aspects of policing and supporting their community through volunteering.

The programme, which will be held at police stations throughout the district in 2015, including Elland Road Station, is delivered over a 25 week period between January and July, starting with an induction day.

Explorers then attend weekly sessions held on Wednesday evenings at the police stations

Applicants must be aged between 16-18 years old, live in West Yorkshire, be able to commit to one evening per week throughout the course of the programme, usually for two hours from either 6pm-8pm or 7pm-9pm, be enthusiastic about the police service and be interested in working in the community.

Anyone intrested can email lc.hqexplorer@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk,, call 01924 292334 or call/text 07595 006151.
