Two young dancers are celebrating success at the British Open Sequence Championships. Ysabel Hinrichs, 21, and Molly Basnett, 18, who are members of Enhance the Dance/Different Class in Morley, travelled to Blackpool to compete in the prestigious event.

The pair (pictured left) became the first all-female partnership to win the Open Modern trophy, and also took home the Open All Ladies and Under 35 Classical Sequence titles. The duo only teamed up a year ago and have been climbing the sequence dancing rankings ever since.

“Many dancers stay at the level of association medallist dancing, only achieving high honours within the association that their teachers are assigned and qualified via. Open Sequence World of Dance is for anyone who enjoys competing within the whole world of sequence,” said Enhance the Dance tutor Philip Blackburn.
