Morley MP Ed Balls has started a consultation of local people to find out constituents’ views on the internet.
Mr Balls will is sending out an e-survey in a bid to gauge opinions from people on digital safety, whether current laws are doing enough and how Government could better support families online. Mr Balls said: “With free wireless internet access on its way to businesses in Morley town centre, this is clearly becoming a big issue for many people. “But I know that for some it’s now part and parcel of everyday life, but for others it’s a total mystery. “And whereas with crossing the road, most parents are generally better informed than their children about what’s right and wrong, with the internet, all too often it is children and young people who know more than their parents. “I want to know what local people think and what more Government could be doing to support them.
