The Morley and District Fundraising Group are seeking volunteers to give a couple of hours at one of the Great Daffodil Appeal Collections in the area.

Collections are taking place at Morley’s Morrisons on February 27, 28 and March 1, in Morley town centre on March 7 and Asda on March 6, 7 and 8.

Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing care, totally free, gives people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home supported by their families.

Community Fundraiser, Katie Grinter, said: “It costs £20 an hour for a nurse to care for someone in their own home, you can raise over £150 in two hours at a collection which would fund a nurse to care for a patient for a whole shift.”

If you would like to help at a collection or would like to find out more, pleasecall Katie on 01274 386190 or email katie.grinter@mariecurie.org.uk.
