Have your say

Theft from motor vehicles of sat-navs remains an issue in Gildersome with police urging motorists to help reduce their chances of becoming a victim.

Morley Neighbourhood Policing Team have issued tips to stop sav-nav thefts taking place.

These include:

- Never leave your sat nav on display.

- Remove the sucker-marks from the window as it’s a tell-tale sign to a thief that you have a sat nav.

- Don’t just put it in your glovebox as a thief knows to look there.

- Don’t store your home address on it. If a thief did steal your sat nav, they would know where you live.

For further crime prevention advice on this and other issues go along to the next PACT meeting at Gildersome Library on Town Street on December 2 from 7pm-8pm and speak to officers from Morley Neighbourhood Policing Team.
