The head of a new football club is celebrating his team’s first full season in the best way possible – with a title victory.
LS27 FC was set up by Lee Mullins, who commended the efforts of the club’s under-17s team after winning their league title. He said: “We have just finished a remarkable first season since I started the club around 18 months ago.” The club also has a star supporter – as featherweight boxing champion of the world Josh Warrington is also the club’s ambassador.

From this week this club is running specific coaching sessions for all of its young goalkeepers.
Stoppers from all age groups will attend the sessions and will mean goalkeepers will still be able to train on a Thursday with their respective teams.
Club goalkeeping coach Darren is running the sessions on Tuesday evenings from this week.
Sessions are at 6:30pm-7:30pm at St Francis Primary School.
