To add an extra dash of Christm-ass cheer this year, White Rose Shopping Centre is launching a festive park and ride with a real difference.

This Saturday and again on Saturday December 20, from 10am – 1pm, children will be able to arrive at the centre in a style reminiscent of the Nativity story by leaping on White Rose shopping centre’s Donkey Park and Ride.

Animal-loving shoppers are advised to park in car park 1B (near Next) and await one of the four festively festooned donkeys, with cutely kiddie names such as Teddy, Robbie, Billy and Sony to carry their children to and from the centre’s doors.

White Rose shopping centre is offering the Park and Ride to children for free, however donations to the Meanwood Valley Urban Farm will be gratefully received by the South Leeds shopping centre.

The children will also be able to thank the donkeys with one of their favourite nibbles - a Christmas carrot or two.

James Bailey, General Manager of the White Rose shopping centre, said: “Our Donkey Park and Ride will be a really fun event which I’m sure all of the children and adults who visit the centre will enjoy. We’re very proud to be supporting Meanwood Valley Urban Farm and the brilliant work it does with animals, leading up to the festive period. This is also a fantastic opportunity for parents to take a really cool Yule picture of their little ones!”

White Rose shopping centre’s Donkey Park and Ride is available to children aged up to 14 years.
