COPIES of the second book of Leslie Overend's photographs of Morley are still available.
The book, which contains 100 pictures from the 1970s that Leslie took for the Morley Observer, has been compiled by former Morley Observer reporter and assistant editor Stephen White, who has been supplying pictures for our popular Overend's Morley feature since 1993.
He said: "After inheriting Leslie's vast collection of negatives when he died in 1989, I finally decided to archive them properly.
"It then dawned on me that some 16 years had elapsed since my first Overend's Morley book (1960-1969) - and I was still being asked when I was going to put another one together."
Overend's Morley 1970-1979 - 100 Pictures of Morley People At Work And Play is available, priced £12.99, from the Morley Observer & Advertiser offices at 40 Queen Street, Morley.
Pre-ordered copies can be collected.
