A Morley welcome

IT was warm welcomes all round at Scatcherd Lane as Morley Cricket Club unveiled a new sponsor and two new players on Saturday.
Pictured are Geoff Berry, of sponsors Kasa Rosa, with Morley's overseas signing Mohammad Azarullah and Yorkshire batsman Chris Taylor.
Geoff is a co-owner along with head chef Alan Hickman of the Kasa Rosa restaurant and is no stranger to Morley having been connected to the town since 1973. A keen sportsman involved in rugby league and cricket, Geoff proudly represented Morley Cricket Cub when they last won the Heavy Woollen Cup in that year, he played for them for a total of five years on two separate occasions and his last appearance was in the Jack Hampshire Cup final in 1991.
Geoff also had a fruit stall on Morley Market for a number of years until he retired from the fruit trade in 2004.
The Kasa Rosa restaurant opened its doors in 2005 and is pleased to be involved with Morley Cricket Club and their members and hopefully support them back into the first division of the Bradford League.
