The first half was one-way traffic. Chelsea Dyson had an early attempt turned around the post for a corner, Amy Caulfield had a volley saved on the line and Georgia Hughes shot narrowly wide after being played in by Olivia Hughes. Lauren Craven force
d at least half a dozen saves from the keeper and when Kayleigh Marshall shot over from a Dyson free-kick, Lions unbelievably went into the break with the score still level.
Craven's luck finally changed early into the second half, scoring the first when she turned in a Georgia Hughes cross and then forcing a Crossley defender to concede an own goal for the second. Lauren also netted with a shot into the bottom corner.
Caulfield hit the post after a strong run from midfield and only a last ditch tackle denied Georgia Hughes after Gemma Hopton and Ellie Cammish combined well to create the chance. At the other end, Sarah Hayes saved Crossley's only attempt on goal. Dyson then claimed Churwell's fourth , following up to put away the rebound from a blocked Craven shot and Kayleigh Marshall completed the scoring with a shot into the roof of the net from a back post corner. Lauren Craven was voted player of the match.
