Rhinos returning to Florida

LEEDS Rhinos are back off to the USA in 2009 when they return to Jacksonville, Florida to take on engage Super League new boys Salford City Reds on Saturday, January 17.
The Rhinos historically went to Jacksonville in 2008 to face Russell Crowe's South Sydney Rabbitohs and now the best of British will go head to head for the American fans of Rugby League at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium.

Salford will be hoping to show they have what it takes after regaining their place in engage Super League last season after winning the Co-Operative National League title by beating Celtic Crusaders.

The game will be the culmination of a week-long training camp in the Sunshine State and also act as a catalyst for the promoting the game of Rugby League in Jacksonville and Florida as a whole.

The event is being hosted by the Jacksonville Axemen, the local rugby league side, and tickets can be purchased by logging on to www.jaxaxe.com

Leeds Met Carnegie will also be involved this year and using their expertise in coaching to help raise the profile of the game with American youngsters.
