DRIGHLINGTON came from behind to beat Northowram.
Although they came close through Lewis Hill and Ben Moylan who was unlucky to hit the post with a great 35-yard strike, it was North-owram who led at half-time. In the second half both defences were on top for a spell, but when Drig got a corner with 20 minutes to go, Antony Thompson put a great delivery in for Shane Sowden to glance past the keeper to make it 1-1.

Drig then grabbed a winner when Thompson picked the ball up on the left and brought the ball inside to score with a great shot from outside the box. MoM was keeper Josh Johnson.

This was the proverbial game of two halves.

In the first, Drig were dominant with MoM Mason Hodgson causing the away team's defence all manner of problems. His first goal came from a pass from Alex Haigh, which he struck with some ferocity into the top corner. Within minutes in almost an identical move Hodgson again blasted home a shot from the edge of the area.

In the second half things changed within the space of five minutes. Dalton attacked straight from the kick-off and the defence of Harrison Jones and Jake Moizer, which had been solid in the first half, began to feel the pressure. The visitors were soon on even terms and continued to press forward when a shot going wide deflected off a defender and beat the outstretched keeper. Nathan Andrews ran himself into the ground, but could not stop the Dalton striker from scoring his side's fourth.

Drig battled away, but were given a lesson in passing.

Michael Lockwood was awarded MoM for his efforts leading the attack and had it not been for a well-prepped defence he would surely have opened his account. Harrison Naylor, Ethan Burton and Matthew Cousen worked hard in midfield, but were always on the back foot.
