THIS was a rather one-sided, yet entertaining Tetley Burton Cup quarter-final in front of a sizeable crowd.
The Warriors raced into a 14-0 lead after 12 minutes, before Wortley had seen the ball, with tries from Gary McClelland, Chris Peach, and M
ark Cunningham.
Further first half tries came from Tony Swift, Chris Peach, Omar Mehdi, Calvin Watson and Jim Baker.
Only stout defence, particularly from Dragons full-back Steve Bosworth, prevented further scores as the Warriors led 40-0 at half-time.
Strong running and clever passing from Jason Milner and Calvin Watson led to tries from Tony Swift and James Dawson before Swift completed his hat-trick.
Continued pressure from the Warriors, with Amir Benatmane prominent, allowed Mehdi and Swift to cross again.
Captain Arron Pratt was rewarded with a try before Swift completed his tally of five tries after 67 minutes.
Caldon Bravo crossed just before the whistle.
Gary McClelland converted all eight second half tries to bring his personal contribution to 28 points.
Dragons' coach Guy Adams nominated Warriors' hooker Jim Baker as MoM for an outstanding performance in marshalling the Warriors defence and probing for attacking opportunities.
Acting Warriors coach Paul Sebine said: "Despite the runaway score, both teams enjoyed the occasion and contributed to a highly entertaining game."
