Morley are one win game from securing their National Three North status after Saturday’s 41-30 home triumph over Lymm.

In a hard-fought first half, Iain Sim’s penalty try and touchdowns from Ollie Flegg and Dante van der Merwe, all converted by Mark Chester, put Morley 21-20 up in a nervy first 40.

But the Maroons romped to victory in the second period, van der Merwe and Ben Bowen crossing and Chester adding two conversions and a penalty.

The victory lifts Morley out of the drop zone and above Doncaster Phoenix and Cleckheaton with one game remaining.

Only a failure to gain a point at rock bottom Stockport on Saturday, together with a five point win for Doncaster at Waterloo and a win for Cleckheaton at Lymm, can rob Morley of survival.
