A six year-old girl is “over the moon” after receiving a letter from Her Majesty the Queen.
Alexia Tyers, of Baker Street, wrote to Her Majesty several weeks ago to check on the health of her corgis and whether she still walked them.
Now Buckingham Palace has responded to Alexia, who attends St Francis’ Catholic Primary School, with a note from The Queen’s Lady-in-Waiting.
The letter says: “Dear Alexia, The Queen wishes me to thank you for your letter.
“Although unable to reply to you personally, Her Majesty thought it kind of you to think of her in sending such a nice message.
“I enclose some information which I hope you will enjoy and I am to thank you again for writing as you did.”
She was at her great-grandmother’s a few weeks ago and she just announced ‘I’m going to write a letter to The Queen
Alexia’s auntie, Joanne Jeffrey said: “Alexia’s over the moon. She was at her great-grandmother’s a few weeks ago and she just announced ‘I’m going to write a letter to The Queen’ - as kids do!
“It’s the first letter she’s ever written.
“She’s going to take it into school to show her friends and then we’re going to get it framed.
“When she gets a bit older she can have a look back and remember.”
