All eyes on Red Nose Day in Morley with the help of Gok Wan

Red Nose Day 2015 is set to offer more than just Red Noses this year. Bright red comedy glasses with hair raising eyebrows, as modelled by the fabulous Gok Wan, are also coming to Morley.

Visitors to the Specsavers store on Windsor Court can follow in the footsteps of Gok Wan and make their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses in children or adult sizes, for just £3 with £1 donated to Comic Relief.

Sarah Plumpton, retail director at Specsavers in Morley, said: “We’re all set to make our faces funny for money in support of the great work that Comic Relief does. We want to encourage everyone, young and old, to join in the fun and buy their Red Nose Day glasses!”

The team at Specsavers in Morley has organised a month of fundraising activity with all proceeds going to Comic Relief, running from Friday February 20 to Friday March 13. Over the four weeks leading up to Red Nose Day, customers will be able to try their luck at guessing the number of sweets in a jar, with the winner to be announced on the day itself. On February 20 and 27, staff at the store will encourage donations from customers by paying a £1 to dress in red with crazy hair styles and wigs.

On Friday March 6, visitors to the store will be invited to make a small donation for the chance to try a selection of cakes, homemade by Specsavers staff, before voting for their favourite in the Morley Specsavers Comic Relief Bake-Off.

On Friday March 13, Red Nose Day itself, the store will devote itself entirely to the Comic Relief theme. Staff will wear the official Comic Relief glasses and red noses and will collecting donations throughout the day.

Specsavers in Morley has joined stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.

Whether it’s at home, work or school, the public are being encouraged to make their faces funny for money this Red Nose Day, which takes place on Friday March 13.

From painting their faces to donning the Specsavers funny specs millions of people up and down the country will be making their faces funny and raising life changing cash. The money raised through Red Nose Day helps poor and vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
